Building A Culture Of Learning In The Classroom

Our story

At Mind Body Align, we focus on supporting learning environments where both students and educators can thrive. Our mission is simple: to help schools integrate focus, emotional balance, and connection through engaging, research-backed experiences. When students learn how to manage their emotions and stay present, classrooms become more supportive, teachers feel more energized, and learning flourishes.

Several years ago, our founder and CEO, Annamarie Fernyak, author of The Right Side of Happiness, volunteered in a local middle school. What she witnessed was heartbreaking—students struggling to focus, overwhelmed teachers, and classrooms filled with stress rather than curiosity. The ability to pause, reset, and engage simply wasn’t there.

Annamarie knew something needed to shift. If students couldn’t manage emotions or focus, how could they navigate school, relationships, or life? If teachers felt overburdened and underappreciated, then how could they be physically and emotionally available to the needs of their students? That moment sparked a shift in our company’s mission—to empower children and educators with real tools to build resilience, strengthen attention, and foster emotional well-being.

Curriculums Created by Educators, for Educators

Annamarie brought together experienced teachers who understood the challenges of today’s classrooms. Together, they developed the Mind Body Align At School Program, designed to help students enhance focus, self-regulate, reduce stress, and build confidence—all in 8 weeks, just 16 classes at 20 minutes a day.

This evidence-based program helps students calm their nervous systems for better focus and learning readiness, develop self-awareness, emotional resilience, confidence, it reduces anxiety, and creates a healthy and happy classroom environment.

And the results? Teachers report feeling less burnout, more job satisfaction, and a stronger connection to their students.

Bridging the Gap Between Learning and Real-World Skills

Many schools already teach self-awareness and emotional skills, and yet, students often struggle to apply them in real moments of stress. That’s where Mind Body Align’s curriculum lessons come in. Our lessons focus on habit-building—helping students practice and integrate self-regulation so they can actually apply the tools they’ve learned to other school-wide programs like PBIS and emotional skill-building curriculums.

Making Learning Fun with Labyrinth Adventures

To bring these essential skills to life, the Mind Body Align team recently created Labyrinth Adventures for Grade 2 – 3—a story-driven curriculum that helps students explore emotional awareness, self-regulation, and focus through engaging characters and real-world challenges.

Students learn by doing—through immersive storytelling, hands-on activities, and guided reflection. Instead of traditional lessons, they experience these skills in a way that feels fun, natural, and deeply personal.

Exciting News! Labyrinth Adventures K-1 is Coming

We are thrilled to announce the expansion of Labyrinth Adventures to include a K-1 curriculum, launching for the 2025-2026 school year! Designed specifically for younger learners, this program introduces foundational skills in self-regulation, focus, and emotional awareness through playful storytelling, movement, and engaging activities. Early learners will build essential habits that support academic success, social growth, and emotional resilience—giving them the tools they need from the very start.

At Mind Body Align we’re a community of educators, researchers, and advocates committed to making a real impact in schools. Let’s bring these transformative skills to your students and help them build a foundation for success in school and life.

💙 Let’s make this year different—the kind of different that changes lives.
