A note from Linda Snyder, Chief Operating Officer for MInd Body Align: Recently, our team at Mind Body Align had the incredible opportunity to attend both SXSW EDU and SXSW Interactive 2023. It was an amazing experience to connect with some of the most innovative minds in the world and learn more about forward-thinking education tech.

One particular collaboration that really stood out to us was the partnership between The Lego Group and UNICEF to create Responsible Innovation in Technology for Children. As mindfulness facilitators, we know how essential it is to promote well-being and mindfulness practices in children, and this partnership really aligns with our mission to empower individuals with the tools and resources they need to thrive.

UNICEF’s RITEC program aims to ensure that technology is developed with the best interests of children in mind. They recognize that technology has the potential to both positively and negatively impact children’s lives, and they want to ensure that the benefits of technology are maximized while minimizing the risks. We were impressed with how The Lego Group is taking responsibility to promote innovation that prioritizes the well-being of children.

At Mind Body Align, we know that mindfulness is essential for the well-being of children. It can help them develop emotional regulation, increase resilience, and improve focus and concentration. We were thrilled to see how the RITEC program and The Lego Group are integrating mindfulness practices into their products, including the Lego Mindstorms coding platform, which encourages children to engage in mindfulness exercises.

SXSW EDU and SXSW Interactive 2023 were also amazing opportunities to see how technology and innovation are changing the way we exchange information. From virtual reality to artificial intelligence, we saw firsthand how these technologies can be used to improve learning experiences and enhance student engagement.

We’re committed to supporting teachers and students during this unprecedented time, and we’re excited to take what we learned at SXSW back to our community. We want to continue to provide resources and tools to help individuals develop mindfulness practices and promote well-being with forward-thinking education tech.
